Howse Peak is one of the the few mountains or perspectives on this web site that you can see from the road. A stunning peak situated above Waterfowl Lakes on the Banff-Jasper highway. The prominent buttress in both these images was climbed in 1967 by Lloyd MacKay, Don Vockeroth and Ken Baker. If you are in the area definitely take the short hike into Chephren lake at its base.
