Mount Louis in Winter, Banff National Park
Mount Louis symmetry is quite unique for the Canadian Rockies. Its bedding plates tilting almost vertical allowing no easy access to its summit. It is close in proximity to Banff, although it is hidden from most vantage points. The hike into this mountain is a classic as are most of the climbing routes to its summit. First climbed in 1916 by Conrad Kain and Albert MacCarthy. If you are in the Banff area it is worth the hike in to check it out.
